What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors submit comments, in addition to the information provided in the comment form, we also collect the commenter’s IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam.
An anonymized string created from your email address (called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service if it is used on the site. The Gravatar privacy policy can be viewed at: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your comment and profile picture are visible to the public.

 

Media

If you upload images to the website, avoid uploading images that contain GPS location data in their EXIF metadata. Visitors to the website can download and extract location data from images on the site.

When you write a comment on the site, you may opt to save your name, email, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so you do not have to fill in these fields again when you write another comment. Cookies expire after one year.
